William Michael Lowery, 38
William, known as "Mike" to his loved ones, had a passion for hiking, photography, and the beautiful outdoors. He found peace and joy in nature but, above all, cherished his family dearly.
His military service in the Idaho Army National Guard HHC 116th Engineer Battalion was a significant chapter of his life. He enlisted at just 17 years old as a Track Vehicle Mechanic and bravely served overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom. His dedication extended to volunteering for various missions back home, including firefighting support during the 2007 fires and snow removal operations in Snowmageddon of 2008. William was honorably discharged in 2009 after six years of dedicated service.
William leaves behind his daughter, Lillyan Lowery of Post Falls, and son, Angelo. He is survived by his mother, Wendy, and stepfather Harold Lamphere of Osburn, Idaho; his sister, Billie (Marty) Gibson of Kellogg, Idaho; brother Patrick (Emily) Lamphere of Hayden, Idaho; sister Alyna Bainter of Kellogg, Idaho; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Lowery.
In honoring William's memory today and always, let us remember him for his love for his family, his selfless service to his country, and the beauty he found in the world around him. May he rest in peace knowing he was deeply cherished and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him.
