PRIDE: Event doesn’t represent Coeur d’Alene

| June 5, 2024 1:00 AM

The headlines in Sunday’s Press regarding the pride in the park event is different online vs. in print. Online headline was “Coeur d’Alene Celebrates…” In print it dropped to the bottom of the page “Loud, proud and loved.” Deceptive presentations.

Does your paper want to keep older readers as myself and yet appeal to online younger deceived readers? Us old folks pay the bills. We stay subscribed to see the obituaries of locals we respected and loved. And, we enjoy a few of the funnies.

I’ve watched the changes in The Press over the past many years and it breaks my heart the city we raised our children in endorses this event. Though I have no hate in my heart for those “celebrating,” it is not a lifestyle, by God’s creation standards, I can support.

I believe in Jesus and God’s redeeming love for EVERYONE. I DO NOT hate anyone and am offended by the suggestion (signs everywhere and accusations) that I hate those I don’t agree with. YOU DON’T KNOW me.

You celebrate what the majority in Coeur d’Alene does not support in our biblical calling or worldview. God loves all of His creation. He is also Holy and righteous, wanting No One to be without His grace through Christ. 2 Peter 3:9

Love lives here is Truth. You are always welcome at Candlelight Christian Fellowship. You will be loved with grace and truth. Truth that will set you free. John 8:31-32
