Anna 'Peggy' Hartzell, 97

Born at home in Cottage Grove, Ore., on Oct. 2, 1926, to parents Jay and Anna Blackmore and passed from this life May 22, 2024, at the tender age of 97. She was the youngest of 8 children.

On July 23, 1949, she married Park Hartzell, and together they raised three children, Kenneth, Jerry and Judy. She lived to have eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren with five step great-grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Park, in June 2016, and her son, Jerry, in November 2018.

She is survived by her son, Ken (Kittie), daughter Judy (Larry), and a long legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
