Margaret 'Cleo' Huellemann, 82
Margaret “Cleo” Huellemann passed away peacefully at home July 20, 2024. She was born Feb. 23, 1942, to Bernice and Pete Prolo.
She met the love of her life, Ralph Huellemann, when they were both in junior high in Wallace. She graduated from Wallace High School in 1960 and married Ralph that November. They had two children: Deanna and Ralph Paul.
She worked at A&W and Morrows in Wallace before moving to Coeur d'Alene in 1967. She then worked as a volunteer at Dalton Elementary. After that, she was a bookkeeper, checker and meat wrapper at Ralph’s IGA, which she and her husband, Ralph, owned for 12 years. She then worked at the Food Stop in Post Falls, which she and Dad owned for a few years. After that, she had the Crafters Unique Boutique in Post Falls until 2000. After moving to Florida, she worked at a children’s clothing store and then at Hallmark when she moved to Texas, where she retired. In December 2020, Cleo moved back to Cd'A to live with her daughter.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, waterskiing and cooking, to name just a few. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family! Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joys!
Cleo is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, her parents, Bernice and Pete Prolo, her sister, Marian, her brother, Gary, and her grandson, Kristopher.
She is survived by her daughter, Deanna (Allen), and her son, Ralph (Alenia). Her grandchildren are Ron (Chris), Andrew (Carrie), Kylie and Kaitlyn (who called her nana) and six great-grandchildren.
We will always remember you, Mom, Nana, Auntie Cleo and friend! We love you!
A celebration of her life will be held in the spring of 2025.
