Lewis-Clark State names Palmer

as new athletic director

Lewis-Clark State has named Ronnie Palmer as its new athletic director, the school announced on Monday.

 Palmer, the former athletic director at Post University in Waterbury, Conn., will officially begin on Aug. 12.

Palmer served as athletic director at Post University from 2015-2024 where he oversaw 19 intercollegiate programs competing in NCAA Division II. From 2010-2015, he served as athletic director at Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia, overseeing 14 programs competing in Division II. Prior to this, Palmer was head baseball coach at Davis and Elkins from 2007-2014, and athletic director and head baseball coach at Salem Community College in Carneys Point, N.J., from 2003-2007.

Palmer replaces Brooke Henze who stepped down over the summer after seven years in the role and 18 years at LC State.

BOISE, Idaho - For the second season in a row, Boise State men's basketball will face Saint Mary's in a neutral site game at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls as the Broncos and Gaels will meet on Dec. 14.

Tickets for the matchup in Idaho Falls will go on sale starting July 31 with a presale for Boise State season ticket holders. The on-sale date for the general public starts on Aug. 2.

The tip-off time will be announced when TV selections are made through the Mountain West Conference at a later date.

Last season, Boise State downed Saint Mary's 63-60 in front of a crowd of nearly 5,000 in Idaho Falls. The contest was the first NCAA Division I game ever played at the Mountain America Center.

Both Boise State and Saint Mary's went on to compete in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
