Lewis-Clark State adds three to

men's basketball roster

Lewis-Clark State men's basketball coach Austin Johnson announced the signing of a trio of transfers on Wednesday.

Taden King, who played his first two years at North Idaho College before moving onto Division II Nebraska-Kearney, joins College of Southern Idaho transfer Kasen Carpenter and Peyton Norland, formerly of Green River College of the Northwest Athletic Conference.

King, a Madison High of Rexburg product, was first team All-State as a senior.

“Taden is someone we have followed and recruited in both high school and junior college,” Johnson said. “We feel fortunate to have him for his senior season and for him to finish his career as an LC Warrior. He has an array of experience highlighted by helping North Idaho College to a 48-8 record during his two years there. Taden is a high IQ, versatile offensive player. He can do a bit of everything offensively and has taken steps to improve as a defender. Taden will bring added experience and maturity as one of only two seniors on our roster.”

Carpenter helped CSI to a 59-11 record in two seasons after graduating from Minico High in Rupert.

Norland averaged 15.5 points and 5.1 assists per game at Green River last season, leading the Gators to a 27-6 record and conference title.
