Grove ties for fourth at Rosauers Open

SPOKANE — Amateur Andrew Von Lossow of The Creek at Qualchan in Spokane won the 37th Rosauers Open Invitational on Sunday at Indian Canyon Golf Course by one stroke over PGA professional Bryce Fisher of Arrowhead GC (Mollala, OR), and PGA professional Corey Prugh of Community Colleges of Spokane. 

Von Lossow shot a 4-under-par 67 in the final round to finish at 13-under 200. 

Fisher shot 64, Prugh 65 to finish one back. 

Russell Grove, men’s and women’s golf coach at North Idaho College, shot a 1-under 70 on Sunday and finished two strokes back at 11-under 202. He was in a three-way tie for the lead heading into the final round of the 54-hole tournament. 

Jeff Gove of The Idaho Club finished tied for 18th after a final-round 69, putting him at 7-under 206. 

Brandon Drake of Coeur d’Alene National Reserve shot 67 on Sunday and tied for 23rd at 6-under 207. 

Other locals: amateur Cole Jaworski (formerly of Coeur d’Alene High and Community Colleges of Spokane) shot 69 and tied for 41st at 3-under 210; Jess Wingett (The Highlands, former Post Falls High golf coach) shot 73 and finished tied for 45th at 2-under 211; David Christenson (The Golf Club at Black Rock) shot 72 and ended up tied for 53rd at 1-under 212; and Gabriel Dorosh (Coeur d’Alene National Reserve) shot 73 on Sunday and finished T59 at even-par 213.
