LITTLE LEAGUE (12U)

West Valley 8, Post Falls 1: West Valley, with players from Eagle, Star, Meridian and surrounding areas, beat Post Falls in Game 2 on Saturday to sweep their best-of-three series for the state title 2-0.

West Valley, which won Game 1 13-6 on Friday night, advances to the Northwest Region tournament Aug. 3-8 in San Bernardino, Calif. West Valley Little League qualified for the first time since 2021.

Post Falls was bidding to qualify for San Bernardino for the first time since 2012.


11U

Southwest Ada 13, Post Falls 3: Southwest Ada, with players from Meridian, Boise and Kuna, beat Post Falls in Game 2 on Saturday to sweep their best-of-three series for the state title 2-0. 

Southwest Ada won Game 1 15-9 on Friday night.

State is the end of the road for the 11U division.


10U

West Valley 11, Coeur d'Alene Black 0: West Valley, with players from Eagle, Star, Meridian and surrounding areas, beat Coeur d'Alene in Game 2 on Saturday to sweep their best-of-three series for the state title 2-0. 

Will Radobenko and Kase Ralston had the lone hits for Coeur d'Alene.

Brixton Wall went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for West Valley, which won Game 1 3-2 in eight innings on Friday night.

State is the end of the road for the 10U division.


INTERMEDIATE  (50/70)

WEST REGIONAL

At Nogales, Arizona

Post Falls is 1-1 in round-robin play, losing to Arizona 13-2 on Tuesday and beating Oregon 12-2 on Friday.

Post Falls' next game is Sunday at 9 a.m. vs. Southern California.
