Grove in three-way tie for lead at Rosauers

SPOKANE — North Idaho College men’s and women’s golf coach Russell Grove shot a 7-under-par 64 on Saturday and is in a three-way tie for the lead heading into the final round of the 37th Rosauers Open Invitational at Indian Canyon Golf Course. 

Grove is at 68-64—132, 10 under par. He’s tied with amateur Dalton Dean  (65-67—132), who played last year at the University of Idaho; and amateur Cort Benner of Pronghorn (69-63—132).  

Grove, Dean and Benner are scheduled to tee off in the final group today at 11:30 a.m.

Jeff Gove of The Idaho Club is tied for 16th at 69-68—137, 5 under par. 

Jess Wingett of The Highlands Golf Course, the former Post Falls High golf coach, is tied for 21st at 68-70—138, 4 under par. 

Other locals making the cut included David Christensen (The Golf Club at Black Rock), 69-71—140; Brandon Drake (Coeur d’Alene National Reserve), 71-69—140; Gabriel Dorosh (Coeur d’Alene National Reserve) 70-70—140; and amateur Cole Jaworski (formerly of Coeur d’Alene High and Community Colleges of Spokane), 70-71—141.
