Ronald 'Ron' J. Evans

Ronald “Ron” J. Evans passed into the arms of Jesus on July 2 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Ron was born to Ida Joan and Richard J. Evans in Santa Anita, Calif. He spent much of his childhood learning and growing up in California and Post Falls, Idaho. He attended Portland Bible College and earned his associate's degree before returning to Post Falls in his post-college years. 

Active in his local church, Ron met his beautiful wife, Shellee, while attending Grace Harvest Fellowship in Spokane, Wash. Together, they started a life of ministry that extended beyond the Pacific Northwest and took them to Castle Rock, Colo., for almost 20 years. 

Ron is preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Evans, and his mother, Ida Joan Evans. He is survived by his wife, Shellee, his beloved children, Kamaryn, Richard “Ricky” and Natalee “Rosie” (Dakota), as well as the many others he considered his kids. He is also survived by his sister, Deborah “Debbie” Labolle, her sons, Andrew Labolle (Hannah) and Mark Daniel Labolle (April), his brother, Richard “Rick” Evans, and his daughter, Kristen Lulloff (Matt). 

A joint celebration of life for Ron and his mother, Ida Joan, will be held at 10 a.m. July 27, 2024, at Heart of the City Church in Coeur d’Alene. 

Numbers 6:22-27 “The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, Thus you shall bless the people of Israel: you shall say to them, The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. So shall they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them.'”
