Lisa Meeker, 74
Daughter. Wife. Mother. Caretaker. Nana.
On Monday, June 17, 2024, Lisa L. Meeker passed away quietly in her home.
Lisa L. Champlain was born in New York on Dec. 31, 1949, to Bettina Greenley and Philip Champlain. Lisa's family lived in Vermont until Bettina moved to the West Coast after a divorce.
Lisa went to high school in Santa Barbara, married Robert Hernandez in 1968, and had two children.
After moving to Oregon and a divorce, she met and married her second husband, Ralph Meeker, and had two more children.
After Ralph's passing, she moved to Idaho to be next to her beloved grandchildren, Coleton, Dustin, Hazel and Beau.
Lisa has always worked hard for others in both work and life, finding joy in seeing others succeed.
As a creative spirit, she sold embroidered shirts, played guitar, maintained beautiful gardens and landscapes, and later crafted amazing greeting cards for all occasions.
Lisa has always been relied upon and loved by friends and family. She gave more than she received and was a stable rock in an unstable world. She cultivated friendships that lasted from grade school to today and was always there when support was needed. She was the glue that kept friends and family connected and informed. Her presence will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sisters, Inness, Christina, Lucy and her brother, Malcolm, and her children, Peter, Matthew, Leah and Andrew Jacob (A.J.)
The memorial service will be held July 20, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Jacksonville Community center, 160 E. Main St., Jacksonville, OR 97530.
