Little League: Post Falls 12U, Cd'A Black 10U on to state

District 1 tournaments

Little League (12U) 

Post Falls 9, Lewiston 1: Fletcher Tandy struck out nine and allowed one hit as Post Falls won the district championship to advance to the best-of-3 state playoffs this weekend at Canfield Sports Complex in Coeur d’Alene. 

Post Falls will play West Valley, the District 2 champ, on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday if necessary. 

Parker Henninger struck out six and allowed one hit for Post Falls, and went 3 for 3 with a double. Lawson Roberg, Josiah Morast and Jaxon LaFountain each had two hits in the win.  

10U  

Coeur d’Alene Black 14, Hayden Black 3: William Radobenko struck out eight and allowed three hits in five innings as Coeur d’Alene Black won the district title to advance to the best-of-3 state playoffs this weekend at Canfield Sports Complex. 

Coeur d’Alene Black will play West Valley, the District 2 champion, on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday if necessary. 

Radobenko also went 2 for 4, and Bryson Munger scored four runs for Coeur d’Alene. 

Noah Harris struck out six in three innings for Hayden Black, and Curry Felt went 2 for 2.

West Valley d. St. Maries: West Valley, the District 2 champion, won the deciding game of a best-of-3 series for the state title.
