Morgan's Magic

| July 13, 2024 1:07 AM

Frances Morgan, a local award-winning magician and vice president of the Spokane Magic Club, also known by her stage name Miss Clare Voyánt, earned a spot in the finals of the Gold Medal Competition at the 2024 Tacoma International Brotherhood of Magicians Convention.

"Magic has been such an incredible experience, and I am excited to perform in front of and with such talented magicians," Morgan said. “My goal is to make people smile because when you can make someone genuinely smile, that is true magic.”

Morgan began her performing arts journey with the Spokane Opera Company. She has also performed with the Liberty Lake Community Theater, where she served on the board, and Christian Youth Theater, where she made her directorial debut.

Her debut in magic was as an assistant at Silverwood Theme Park before branching out as a solo magician in October.

She won her first of three awards from the Spokane Magic Club, achieving first place in the Close-up Magic Competition. She has performed at various venues, including the Spokane and Sandpoint renaissance faires, libraries, casinos, private corporate events and as a guest for Spokane’s Expo '74 celebration.

The Gold Medal Competition at the IBM Convention is one of the most prestigious events in the magic community, attracting top magicians from around the world.
