LITTLE LEAGUE DISTRICT 1 BASEBALL TOURNAMENTS: Post Falls advances to 12U title game

LITTLE LEAGUE (12U) 

Post Falls 10, Coeur d’Alene 3: Jaxon LaFountain went 3 for 3 with two doubles Friday as Post Falls advanced to the championship game Sunday at 10 a.m. at Airport Park. 

Carson Perkins went 2 for 2 with a double for Post Falls. 

Coeur d’Alene will play Lewiston today at 1 p.m. in an elimination game. Lewiston defeated Sandpoint 8-0. That winner will need to beat Post Falls twice for the district title and a berth to state next weekend at Canfield Sports Complex in Coeur d’Alene. 

10U 

Coeur d’Alene Black 6, Lewiston White 3: Kase Ralston had a double for Coeur d’Alene, which advanced to Sunday’s championship game at 10 a.m. at Airport Park. 

Hayden Black 17, Coeur d’Alene Blue 2: Noah Harris went 3 for 3 with a double for Hayden, which totaled 11 hits in defeating Coeur d’Alene in an elimination game. Garrett Sampsel was 2 for 3 for Hayden Black. 

Hayden Black faces Lewiston White today at 10:30 a.m. at Airport Park, with the winner needing to beat Coeur d’Alene Black twice on Sunday for the championship and a berth to state next weekend at Canfield Sports Complex.
