Post Falls Police Department recognized for training

POST FALLS — The city has announced Post Falls Police Department was recently recognized for effective policy management and training in 2023. 

In a news release, Chief Greg McLean said the achievement recognized the department’s dedication to professionalism, safety and continuous improvement. 

“We are committed to ensuring that our officers are well-equipped with the knowledge and training needed to provide exemplary service.” McLean said.  

The Lexipol Connect program tracks Post Falls Police Department's performance in policy management and provides policy, training and wellness support.  

The department achieved bronze recognition based on consistent and effective policy dissemination to personnel, timely policy updates as laws change and officer training on policies. 

Post Falls Mayor Ron Jacobson said law enforcement agencies like the Post Falls Police Department set a high bar for service to the community, showing “the kind of leadership that keeps our community safe and secure.”
