Lyle Nelson, 92

Lyle Nelson passed away peacefully at home May 1, 2024. Born to Hank and Irene Nelson on Jan. 2, 1932, in Menomonie, Wis. 

The family moved to Monroe, Wash., where he met and married Betty Ann Downing. In 1954, they moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where they raised three boys. Lyle loved fishing, hunting and trap shooting. He continued to shoot traps until he was 90. 

His wife, Betty, and sons Randy and Art, preceded Lyle in death. He is survived by his son, Gary, grandson Eric Nelson, granddaughter Kristy Easton and great-grandkids Liam and Ava Easton. 

There will be no services. Any commemorative gifts can be made to Hospice.
