Local judge, attorneys to be honored

| July 10, 2024 1:00 AM

Three locals will receive awards at this year’s Idaho State Bar annual meeting in Boise, July 17-19.

Coeur d’Alene attorney Sharon E. “Anne” Solomon will receive one of the Idaho State Bar’s highest honors: the 2024 Idaho State Bar Distinguished Lawyer Award. She has been practicing law in Coeur d’Alene since 1980, when she and her late sister, Sue Flammia, opened Flammia & Solomon.

"Throughout her life, Anne has been guided by the principle of giving back — to her community, to those in need, or to those who are unable to do for themselves what she may be able to provide," a press release said.

Mayli A. Walsh, Kootenai County magistrate judge, and Tyrie J. Strong, Idaho Legal Aid Services, will receive the Idaho State Bar’s Service Award, which is presented to attorneys, judges and members of the public in recognition of their dedication to serving the legal profession and their local communities.
