Ida 'Joan' Evans, 90

Ida "Joan" Evans, a loving mother born in Coppock, Iowa, to Richard and Ida McKune, passed away June 30, 2024, at 90. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and 11 siblings. 

She will be deeply missed by her family, which includes 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many who have felt adopted into the family. She was a prayer warrior, and her first love was her relationship with Jesus Christ, whom she leaned on all of her life.

She touched the lives of countless children, having babysat up to 12 at a time. Her selflessness and warmth were felt by all who knew her. Joan successfully ran her husband's masonry business and owned and operated a convenience store in Otis Orchards, Wash. 

A celebration of life will be held July 27 at 10 a.m. to honor Joan's remarkable life at the Heart of the City Church, 772 W. Kathleen Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
