FIREWORKS: Why isn’t the ordinance enforced?

Another Fourth of July war zone in Coeur d’Alene. You don’t have to go to The Resort for a fireworks show. Just drive around the city for plenty of ILLEGAL fireworks shooting in the air for hours. Shadduck Park was a hot spot for hours of ILLEGAL fireworks. They even spray painted the “fireworks prohibited” signs at the park. If The Resort fireworks show wasn’t the center of attention, then the police could enforce the fireworks ordinance throughout the city. ILLEGAL fireworks are going on throughout the entire city without any enforcement. Contrary to popular belief, the city of Coeur d’alene is not just the downtown area. Why have an ordinance if you will not enforce it.
