Clyde W. Ylitalo passed peacefully July 2, 2024, at home in Coeur d’Alene with his children surrounding him.

Clyde was born on a farm west of the village of Wolf Lake, Becker City, Minn., to Waino and Miriam (Koskela) Ylitalo. He was one of eight children who came west in 1959 to work in construction. Clyde is preceded in death by his parents: sisters Viola, Mildred, Verna and Verlene; brothers Wilburt (infant), Wesley and Raymond. He is survived by younger brother, Rodney (Alice) of Enid, Okla.; daughters Holly Payne, Marsha (Robert) Dee, Deborah (Duane) Harrison; son CW4 Jeffrey (Kim) Ylitalo; three granddaughters: Allyson, Maggie and Aubrey; two grandsons: Matt (heather) Dee and Abram Ylitalo; great-granddaughters: Alexa Deming and Hadleigh Payne of Coeur d’Alene; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Minnesota families.

As Clyde stated, “God Bless you all and thank you for the privilege of growing with my children.”

There are no formal funeral services. Donations in memory of Clyde can be made to Hospice of North Idaho (2290 W. Prairie Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815).
