Endsley, 58, was the top local female finisher in the Ironman 70.3 Coeur d’Alene on June 23, finishing in 5 hours, 2 minutes and 17 seconds, 278th out of 1,596. She was second out of 38 competitors in her age group. “The first lap of the run I was feeling really good,” Endsley said. “In that final mile, I was just ready to be done. My foot started bothering me. But the crowds really energized me in that last mile. I felt I did really well.”
