Special Olympics fundraiser golf tournament set for July 26 at The Links 

The Northern Charity Golf Tournament, a fundraiser for Special Olympics Idaho, is scheduled for July 26 at The Links Golf Club in Post Falls, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. 

The tourney is a scramble format.

Players may sign up as individuals, or part of four-person teams at $125 per person. 

Hole sponsors, lunch sponsors — sponsors for pretty much everything — are also being sought. 

“Every dollar that is donated will go to our local athletes,” said Pancho Edler, Special Olympics North Idaho event coordinator.

A putting contest, lunch after the round, and a raffle drawing is part of the day’s slate.  

There's a $10,000 prize for a hole-in-one on the 17th hole.
