Trail Life scout awarded Prestigious Freedom Award for work in Post Falls

POST FALLS — Post Falls Mayor Ron Jacobson awarded Joseph Moran the Prestigious Freedom Award through the Trail Life program during the Post Falls City Council meeting. The award is the highest achievement in the scouting organization. 

Dave Fair and Bryan Myers of the Post Falls Parks and Recreation Department noted that Joseph was the driving force of work on the trails of Kiwanis Park. 

Jacobson said the work Moran put in was a “true indication of leadership” illustrating his dedication and hard work. 

“His efforts have not only improved the accessibility and enjoyment of the trails for all visitors, but he also demonstrated a commendable sense of civic responsibility and community spirit,” Jacobson said.
