Prepare for summer to start rocking: Riverstone Summer Concerts return Thursday evening.

Presented by the Coeur d'Alene Arts and Culture Alliance, free shows will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays through Aug. 29.

"We are excited to be back for the 13th annual Riverstone Summer Concerts," Coeur d'Alene Arts and Culture Alliance Executive Director Abby Light said Tuesday.

"We are so proud to showcase the amazing variety of talented musicians that live in our city and region," Light said. "The ultimate goal of the concerts is to bring people together through music and help encourage and sustain a healthy arts community in Coeur d’Alene. We’re excited to make new memories as a community this summer and enjoy a mix of new and returning favorites."

The family-friendly concerts will be held at the Idaho Central Credit Union Amphitheater, 2000 W. John Loop, Coeur d'Alene.

Nu Jack City, a top Americana party band that delivers favorite hits and an assortment of Motown, soul, country and rhythm and blues, will perform opening night as singer-songwriter Son of Brad opens the show.

Beverages will be available for purchase and food vendors will be on site. Parking is free. Seating is available on the lawn and steps.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets and, of course, their dancing feet.
