Layoffs, insurance on CLN emergency meeting agenda

Staff layoffs and a reduction in force will be discussed as trustees of the Community Library Network hold an emergency meeting at 2:45 p.m. Thursday at the Post Falls Library.
Trustees are expected to review insurance policy options and may take action to authorize the engagement of an insurance carrier. The network presently is fully covered by the Idaho Counties Risk Management Program with supplemental coverage provided by Great American Insurance.
Action is expected to be taken regarding the expenditure of emergency funds. Facilities updates will be given on the Post Falls and Athol libraries, which have been closed to the public since mid-January because of winter weather damage and flooding. Trustees will also tour the Post Falls Library to inspect the damage.
