NIC WRESTLING: Fifth-ranked Cardinals take down Northwest

POWELL, Wyo. — Freshmen Hunter Bidelman (141 pounds), Porter Craig (157) and Conan Northwind (174) won by technical fall for fifth-ranked North Idaho College in a 35-13 win over host Northwest College on Friday night, the first day of the Apodaca Duals.

Freshman Jermiah Zuniga beat Northwest’s Caleb Nadig, the fifth-ranked wrestler in the NJCAA at 149, by a 10-2 major decision.

Craig, who wrestled as a senior at Coeur d’Alene High, beat Jack Lounsbury 19-2. Craig is ranked eighth at 157. Sophomore Bradley Whitwright, fourth at 197, won by pin for NIC.

NIC wraps up the event today with duals against top-ranked Western Wyoming of Rock Springs, Wyo., Snow and Northeastern (Colo.).
