Kroc rolls out buses for Boys and Girls Club

| January 24, 2024 1:00 AM

COEUR d'ALENE — When the Boys and Girls Club of Kootenai County needed buses, the Kroc Center jumped in the driver's seat to help.

“The Kroc recognizes the positive impact of BGC for youth in our community,” Center Director Kip Sharbono said. “It’s because of that impact that we are eager to step in and support them in their mission, and it aligns with our guiding principle to meet unfilled needs in the community.”

More than 40 registered Boys and Girls Club youth have been unable to get to clubs after school due to limited bus drivers at school districts, according to a press release, and the organization hasn't been able to acquire vehicles to fill the the transportation gap.
