| January 18, 2024 1:10 AM

The North Idaho College men’s basketball team is scheduled to return home tonight at 7 to face Colorado Northwestern in a Scenic West Athletic Conference game at Rolly Williams Court.

NIC beat Colorado Northwestern 92-80 in a nonconference game in Powell, Wyo., on Dec. 2.

In that game, NIC was led by Jalen Skalskiy, a redshirt sophomore from Lakeland High, with 25 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Cobi Campbell, who has signed with Troy, had 21 points and four rebounds for NIC in the win.

NIC (12-6, 0-2 Scenic West) returned to the conference this season after playing in the Northwest Athletic Conference for the previous seven seasons. The Cardinals opened with losses to Snow (77-75) and Salt Lake (89-76).

Colorado Northwestern is 10-7, 2-0 in conference after beating Community Christian 91-71 last Saturday and Southern Nevada 82-67 in a pair of home games in Rangely, Colo.

Colorado Northwestern canceled its women’s basketball season due to low numbers.

NIC concludes the weekend against Utah State-Eastern, with the women’s game at 1 p.m., followed by the men at 3 p.m. at Rolly Williams Court on Saturday.
