Library policy discussions continue at special meeting today

Members of the Community Library Network's board of trustees will continue discussions and possibly take action on policies regarding library books and other materials in the network's collection during a special meeting from 2 to 5 p.m. today.

One hour has been allocated for the Materials Selection Policy discussion and one hour has been allocated for the Materials Withdrawal and Reconsideration Policy discussion. 

A discussion on the new Director Evaluation Policy has been allocated 40 minutes and an update on the Community Library Network's insurance has been allocated 10 minutes.

A discussion of future agenda requests, during which the board will decide via consensus whether these items will be moved to a future agenda, has been given five minutes for discussion, and trustees are expected to set future special and regular meeting dates in another five minutes.

No public comment will be permitted.

The special meeting will be at the Post Falls Library, 821 N. Spokane St.

The next regular meeting of the board when public comment will be permitted will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18 at the Hayden Library, 8385 N. Government Way. Upcoming regular meetings will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 15 and from 2 to 5 p.m. March 21.
