Cassie Marie (Roth) Groene, 34

In loving memory of Cassie Marie Groene, known to many as "Cass," a free spirit whose adventurous soul touched the lives of all who knew her. Cassie was born April 13, 1989, at Sacred Heart Medical in Spokane, Wash., but was raised in Coeur d'Alene her entire life. Cass tragically passed away Feb. 10, 2024, at Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Cassie's journey through life was marked by her unwavering loyalty, welcoming nature and spirited demeanor. From her early days on the family ranch to embracing the thrill of adventures on horseback and dirt bikes, Cass radiated determination and a love for fun that was infectious to those around her. Her warm hugs, genuine welcome and zest for life endeared her to friends and family alike.

The country held a special place in Cassie's heart; whether she was huckleberry picking, riding in the open air, or restoring old treasures to new glory, she found peace and joy in nature's embrace. Her love for heavy metal music and live concerts reflected her vibrant spirit that shone brightly wherever she went.

One of Cassie's proudest accomplishments was instilling her passion for adventure and the outdoors in her two beloved sons, Deegan and Gage. Through them, her spirit lives on, embodying the same love for life that defined Cassie herself.

In this time of unexpected loss, we mourn the departure of a cherished soul from our midst. Cassie leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories that will forever be treasured by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Cassie is survived by her sons, Deegan and Gage; mother Gretchen Roth; father Keith Roth; brother Dillon Roth and sister-in-law Nicole Roth; grandmother Lucy Roth; as well as a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Connie Roth and Lyle Hoffman, as well as grandmother Val Hutchings.

May we find solace in reminiscing about the joyous moments shared with Cassie Marie Groene — a bright spirit whose light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
