RESPONSE: Groups chose competence over ideology

| February 14, 2024 1:00 AM

In response to James Patterson’s letter to the editor stating he is sticking with the KCRCC recommendations:

I am sorry you wish to continue within incompetence over capabilities. You need to only look at our assessor and the errors in assessed value, the inability to meet deadlines and a staff that feels he is incompetent. In addition, look to the NIC board that has taken our college’s accreditation from exceptional to terminal, where the staff, faculty and students have all made a vote of no confidence. And finally, there’s the library board that is finding perfection in micromanagement.

James, I would like to let you know why the North Idaho Republicans, the Bipartisan Citizens to Elect Qualified Candidates, the Citizens for Public Schools, the Non-partisan Docs, and DART all recommended candidates not recommended by the KCRCC. It is because they looked at ability, financial responsibility and qualifications rather than ideology.
