FOOD BANK MANAGER: Grateful for community support

| February 7, 2024 1:00 AM

I am writing to express my deep gratitude to the incredible Kootenai County community for their immense generosity and support over the past year.

In a time when the world faces various challenges, the unwavering compassion and solidarity displayed by our community have been nothing short of remarkable. I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to all those who have contributed to our cause, whether through donations of time, resources, or both.

From the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department’s Santa Run to The Post Office’s Stamp out Hunger Food Drive, from the Boy Scout food drive to the numerous other food drives organized throughout the year, each initiative has made a significant impact on our ability to provide food assistance to those in need.

Furthermore, the support from local grocery stores and restaurants, who generously donate food on a regular basis, has been instrumental in our efforts. Their ongoing contributions help ensure that we can serve the entire Kootenai County community with dignity and compassion.

While it would be impossible to individually acknowledge every person and business that has supported us, please know that each donation, no matter how big or small, has been deeply appreciated. It is through the collective spirit of generosity within our community that we are able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

We are humbled and grateful for the outpouring of support we have received, and it is a testament to the strength and kindness of the Kootenai County Community. Together, we are making a difference, and for that, we are truly thankful.

With sincere appreciation,

DARRELL RICKARD, food bank manager
