ROSALIE: Gratitude for good Samaritan

| February 4, 2024 1:00 AM

Thank you Rosalie for helping a stranger. Attending my first Coeur d’Alene Symphony program recently, I found a place to park noting there was a blue flashing light nearby. Making a note of landmarks I could see, I hurried on my way to check in. After the much enjoyed concert, I thought it best to go back to the entrance I had entered to retrace my steps to my Jeep. Unfortunately, my homing pigeon instinct did not work. I did not find my Jeep but other blue flashing lights. “That’s just great,” I thought.

So, I started back to the auditorium entrance to try a retrace again. My path back led to seeing a lady headed to her car. I met her and said out of total frustration “I cannot find where I parked my car.” Asking if I would like help finding where I parked, Rosalie drove me around campus looking for likely parking spots. I finally spotted my Jeep sitting all alone, next to a blinking blue light. Rosalie dropped me off and waited until I was in my Jeep before she left.

This extraordinary kindness was a blessing to me. I did include a thank you in my bedtime prayer to Him seeing that I met Rosalie that night. But just wanted folks to know there are good Samaritans about in our beautiful little town. Thank you again, Rosalie.
