Margaret 'Peggy' Booth, 91
Margaret "Peggy" Booth was born July 10, 1933, in Wheeling, W.V., to Martin and Agnes Flora.
In her early teens, the family relocated to California, where Peggy graduated from high school and began working as a secretary.
In 1953, she met the love of her life, John "Jack" Booth. They married less than a year later and shared a beautiful life together, raising seven cherished children: Todd, Scott, Kerri, Beth, Matt, Sean and Staci, as well as her beloved nephew, Rob. In 1968, the family moved to North Idaho, where Peggy and Jack dedicated themselves to raising their children and being active in their community through Little League, 4-H and their church. After 57 years of marriage, Peggy lost her beloved Jack but was blessed to find love again with Larry Nordstrom. She and Larry shared two adventurous years together before his passing in 2017.
Peggy was a woman of many talents and interests. She made lifelong friends through her bridge group, enjoyed dancing, raising sheep and dogs, and sharing her creativity through toll painting. Peggy also gave her time generously, volunteering for various organizations. Her Catholic faith was central to her life, and she held a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother.
Peggy passed away peacefully on the morning of Dec. 19, as she had always wished, at home and surrounded by the loving comfort of her family. She is survived by her seven children and their spouses, as well as her 49 grandchildren and 72 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Dec. 28, at 4 p.m.
