Ebba L. Foster, 55

| December 21, 2024 1:00 AM

Ebba L. Foster was born Dec. 27, 1968, to Preston and Louise Hamilton in Ramona, Calif. Ebba passed over to be with the Lord on Nov. 15, 2024.

She grew up in the east part of San Diego County. She was a graduate of Valhalla High School. After high school she studied business in college before deciding to pursue a career working with animals. With a love for horses, she excelled and won just about everything she tried. At only 12 years old she was a professional barrel racer. In her teen years, Ebba began training horses and continued to do so for the next 27 years.

In 1989, she married Scott R. Foster. They continued to live in the “East County.” In 1995, they decided to move to northern Idaho in the Coeur d’Alene and Athol area to start a new life and a new family. Once in northern Idaho, Ebba retired from horses and began working on developing her own small ranch and homestead.

Ebba was diverse in her loves and interests. She had many hobbies and was active in a wide range of activities. She loved the outdoors and all it offered. Horseback trail riding was a passion. She also enjoyed fishing, swimming, boating and shooting. Additional joys were working in her garden and astronomy. Raising all sorts of animals, from the tiniest of birds to the largest of draft horses, was always a welcome endeavor for Ebba. Singing was another passion for Ebba, and she had an absolutely beautiful voice.

Being an intelligent, inquisitive “go-getter,” Ebba enjoyed learning all she could. Her knowledge of our Constitution and our rights fueled her interest in politics.

Ebba was a bright light to many. She was full of life, loved the Lord and her energy was something people around her could feel.

Ebba is survived by her husband, Scott, and son Nolan. Additionally, she is survived by her mother, Louise Hamilton, and brothers Bill and Clint Hamilton.
