Casey Wild, 49

Casey James Wild, 49, a loving husband and father, passed away unexpectedly at his home Dec. 12, 2024. He was born April 14, 1975, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Dick and Sandy (Ayars) Wild and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1993, where he lettered as part of their stellar football team.

On Nov. 13, 1999, Casey married Cora Linn Bodak and their son, Justin, completed their family Nov. 5, 2000.

Casey worked for City Service Valcon as a truck driver for the past 10 plus years. He was an expert fly fisherman, taught by his father. He loved football and was a proud fan of the Buffalo Bills.

Casey was preceded in death by his father, Dick; he is survived by his wife, Linn, and son Justin of Coeur d’Alene, mother Sandy Wild of Coeur d’Alene, brothers David Wild and Shawn Ayars of Coeur d’Alene, parents-in-law Al and Louise Bodak of Post Falls, numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many lifelong friends.

Casey will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but we do not grieve as those who have no hope. Rest well until we see you again, Casey!

Bell Funeral Home (belltowerfuneralhome.com) in Post Falls is in charge of his final arrangements. A celebration of Casey’s life will be held at Anthem Church, 251 W. Miles, Hayden, Idaho, on Jan. 4, 2025, at noon, with a light meal to follow.
