Firefighters escort Santa around Coeur d'Alene neighborhoods

| December 17, 2024 4:45 PM

Coeur d’Alene firefighters tonight will start driving Santa around Coeur d’Alene neighborhoods collecting food and cash donations for the food bank and spreading Christmas cheer.

Santa’s sleigh is an old fire truck decorated with Christmas lights and also plays Christmas music.

When you hear the music or see the sleigh, come outside, donate some food, talk to Santa and get a candy cane.

Santa will be on the road from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night through Monday.

Santa’s Itinerary:

Dec. 17 — West of Seventh Street, south of Appleway Avenue

Dec. 18 — East of Seventh Street, south of Appleway Avenue

Dec. 19 — East of U.S. 95, north of Appleway/Best Avenue

“Santa won’t be able to visit every street in Coeur d’Alene, so please go to the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department website and use the Santa Tracker to find out where he is and come track us down, so you, and your kids, will be assured to see Santa,” said Coeur d’Alene firefighters.
