Roy 'Scott' Tickemyer, 82

Scott Tickemyer, 82, of Cherry Valley, Calif., passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2024. Scott was born in Missouri to Mary and Roy Tickemyer. 

Scott served in the United States Marine Corps before becoming a contractor and then worked in construction for 50 years. He lived in Athol, Idaho, with his wife, Sue, for many years. Besides all of his other accomplishments, he was a restaurateur. He owned and started a few restaurants, his last being The Country Boy Cafe. After that, he moved to Cherry Valley for the last four years. Scott enjoyed poker and keno and was a member of the Police Officer Reserve in Chino, Calif.

Scott is survived by his wife, Eva Tickemyer, of Cherry Valley; his son, Scott Tickemyer (Steph), of Redlands, Calif.; his son, Jim Tickemyer (Staci), of Banning, Calif.; his son, Lou Tickemyer (Diana), of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; and his daughter, Roseanne Pavlat (Kurt), of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his sister, Theresa Kudo (Matsuo), of Stuart, Fla.; his brother-in-law, Jim DiMeo (Tina), of Georgetown, Texas; his brother-in-law, Mike DiMeo (Kristyne), of Texas; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Scott was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Tickemyer; his father, Roy Tickemyer; and his mother, Mary Tickemyer; his sister, Paula White; his great-grandson, Damion Pavlat; and his granddaughter, Susan Pavlat.

There will be a celebration of life for Scott on March 29, 2025, at Noble Creek Community Center, time to be determined.
