Idaho State Police investigating injury crash on Upper Pack River Road
Idaho State Police are investigating an injury crash which occurred about 3 a.m. Wednesday near the 1700 block of Upper Pack River Road, north of Sandpoint.
According to a press release from ISP, a 2012 Kia Sorento was traveling westbound on Upper Pack River Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed the eastbound lanes and left the road, striking a tree.
The vehicle was occupied by an 18-year-old male of Sandpoint. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The male was transported to a hospital by ground ambulance. At this time, the investigation indicates that speed may have been a factor in the incident, the releaser said.
An investigation continues.
Bonner County Sheriff Office and Bonner County EMS assisted during the crash.
