Dale LeRoy Benjamin, 97

MADISON, Wis. — Dale LeRoy Benjamin, age 97, passed away Nov. 28, 2024, in Madison, Wis. He was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Lucian and Lola Belle (Thorne) Benjamin.

After serving in the U.S. Army, he graduated from the University of Idaho. In 1950, he married Beverly Straalsjoe and they were together 65 years before her passing in 2016. After his career with GTE, they retired to North Carolina, then Madison.

Dale is survived by his daughter, Cyndee Stracka; sons, Matt, Chris and Pat in Connecticut; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.
