Closed since January, Post Falls Library set to reopen
POST FALLS — The Community Library Network is welcoming back the Post Falls Library following renovations due to water damage caused by a broken pipe in January.
The total remediation project for Post Falls Library cost $943,536.
Athol Library experienced similar damage from broken pipes and cost about $412,171 to renovate.
Since the damage happened, the Community Library Network has been navigating insurance claims, disposing of damaged items such as books and catalog materials, and managing the packing and storage of the library’s remaining contents.
On Nov. 18, the temporary library housed in the meeting room closed, allowing staff to begin moving the library’s contents back in.
The grand reopening and ribbon-cutting ceremony takes place from noon to 2 p.m. Monday.
