“We’re still pretty young and getting used to our offense,” Lakeside coach James Twoteeth said. “We were able to breakaway a little bit in the second half. They’ve got some shooters, but our guys were able to do a good job on them.”
Hallah Peone had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Lakeside (2-0), which plays at Kamiah on Saturday.

Spokane Valley foes
RATHDRUM — The Hawks won 17 matches via pinfall in season-opening duals against East Valley and Central Valley at Lakeland High.
Lakeland beat Central Valley 70-9, then handled East Valley 81-6.
“Our lineup worked out really well and convenient ways,” Edelblute said. “They were excited to get out there and compete against someone else. Our goals as a team is to win a state title, and know what we’re capable of. It’s just a thought until they do something like this and show they’re hungry for some wins.”
