MY TURN: Author was on the mark

Praise for JD Sahr’s “my turn” article outlining all the falsehoods for which Brent Regan praised Donald Trump. He hits the mark dead center. 

I cannot understand why DEI is such a dirty term for the Republicans. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are absolute necessities upon which the principles of our United States democracy are founded. 

Take away these principles and our democracy becomes what the Republicans seem to want: an autocracy headed by a leader immune from error, as proclaimed by a far from non-partisan Supreme Court. 

We should be thankful if our education facilities at all levels including college seek the justice of DEI. And ... we should be chagrined at the power of autocracy, which was duly elected by half of our citizenry for the next four years.
