Jacqueline 'Jackie' Knight, 74
Jackie went to be with the Lord on Thanksgiving Day after a struggle with cancer. She was born Aug. 1, 1950, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Timothy and Jenetta Coe. She lived in Arizona until moving to California while in high school. After high school, she worked and went to college part-time until moving to Minnesota to attend Bethany Lutheran College. After Bethany, she attended Mankato State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education. During that time, she met Keith Knight, and they were married in Prescott, Ariz., in 1972. They worked in Minnesota for four years, then moved to Idaho, where Keith had a job teaching in Kellogg. They had three sons: Mitch, Bryce and Trevor. When Trevor went to school, Jackie went to nursing school at North Idaho College. She went on to work at Kootenai Hospital for 27 years. Jackie was very involved in the work of Open Arms Clinic, becoming a volunteer ultrasound nurse there for many years. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed quilting.
She is survived by her husband, Keith; their sons and daughters-in-law: Mitch and wife Wendy; Bryce and wife Emma; Trevor and wife Melissa; and six grandchildren: Bridger and Evalee, Vinny and Veronica, and Avery and Sebastion.
