Genevieve Stockton, 94

Genevieve Goldia Stockton arrived safely home Nov. 17, 2024. Gen was born April 8, 1930, in St. Maries, Idaho, to Ralph Spracklen and Stella (Tucker) Spracklen. She was the first of four children: Gen, Gerry, Chub and Judy. On March 21, 1947, she married John Stockton. They would enjoy 50 years of marriage before Dad passed away in March 1997. Together, they owned and operated Stocktons Custom Meats in Hayden, Idaho.

Mom loved being around people. She accepted Christ as her savior Dec. 9, 1951. She spent many years serving at Bethel Baptist Church, leading Bible studies. In fact, Mom and Dad were charter members at Bethel from 1954 to 1997. Mom’s life was centered around family and church. 

Mom was preceded in death by her husband, John, two siblings and parents.

She is survived by her youngest sister, Judy Ohse. Her four children are Ken Stockton, Harry Stockton (Bev), Becky Stockton-Laws (Larry) and Tim Stockton. Grandchildren: Brock Stockton, Jeremy Stockton, Shawn Stockton, Matt Stockton, Cody Laws, Jaclyn Haugland and Eric Stockton. Ending with nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held in the spring.
