ELECTION: Don’t judge those you disagree with
It is obvious that many are excited about the results of the recent election while others are not. Regardless of political leanings or religious beliefs, the one important thing we have to remember is that we are all humans, made in the image of the Creator.
It is logical that there are differing opinions. Just look around you; nature is full of diverse plants, animals, insects, birds, fish etc. We consume a huge variety of foods from across the world. Clothing styles change consistently as do car models, computers, appliances, phones and the list just goes on and on. Nothing stays the same. Neither do humans. We are diverse in weight, height, eye color, hair color, skin color, talents, abilities, sexual orientation, beliefs, likes and dislikes. Let’s accept one another for what we can contribute to society on our short journey on this planet. We are but a speck in the universe. Let’s not waste our precious time arguing, fighting or hating our fellow humans. Remember, God doesn’t make mistakes.
We’ve forgotten, Matthew 7:12 “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” and Matthew 7:1, “Judge not, lest you be judged.” Let’s try not to judge those who are different or whom we disagree with. It serves no purpose.
