Davis, a sophomore, won the 200-yard freestyle at the state 6A swim meet on Nov. 9 at the West YMCA in Boise, finishing in 1 minute, 45.30 seconds. Davis also finished second in the 500 freestyle in 4:50.24 and second in the 400 freestyle relay (3:18.30). “He’s just kept improving each race this year,” Coeur d’Alene coach Laura Curtis said. “He improved in each race and really put in the work to get better. He had a tremendous weekend and meet.”
