Festival of Trees kicks off in Shoshone County
A mini tabletop tree and baking basket are among the auctioned items at the Shoshone County Courthouse and the Osburn Senior Center. The silent auction begins Monday, Dec. 2.

The Festival of Trees returns next week in Wallace and Osburn. Tabletop trees and themed baskets are auctioned off to benefit Silver Valley Meals on Wheels at the Shoshone County Courthouse and the Osburn Senior Center.
Place your bids in person for the silent auction between Monday, Dec. 2, at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13.
Different departments in Shoshone County select special themes and decorate the trees to match and the highest bidder will be chosen when the auction closes
Silver Valley Seniors Meals on Wheels has received less federal and state assistance in recent years, so the program has become more community-funded. Entities such as The Area Agency on Aging assist the program, but Silver Valley Meals on Wheels is mainly powered by fundraisers like the Festival of Trees.
