Fire prompts evacuation order near Worley

| August 31, 2024 2:30 PM

Update (4:30 p.m.): Crews are making "good progress" on the initial effort to contain the County Line Fire, according to the Coeur d'Alene Tribe.

"A combination of air support, ground suppression and dozer lines have helped to slow the growth of the fire at this time," the Tribe said in a public statement. "Emergency personnel from multiple agencies continue to coordinate efforts to gain operational control of the situation and to extinguish the fire."

The Coeur d’Alene Tribe has temporary emergency relocation shelter on standby in Worley and Plummer, in case they are needed.
