Coeur d'Alene firefighters Local 710 fires up annual food drive
Coeur d'Alene Firefighters Local 710 has scheduled a food drive Sept. 1-7 from 4 to 8:30 p.m. each day to benefit the Community Action Partnership food bank.
“This isn’t just a drive. It’s a full-throttle community effort,” said Local 710 spokesperson and firefighter Darren Tolan. “We’ve seen incredible generosity during our Christmas drives, collecting hundreds of thousands of pounds of food over the past decade. Now, we’re counting on that same spirit to keep our neighbors fed during these challenging summer months.”
When people see the truck passing through, they are asked to bring out nonperishable food items or cash donations.
The truck's schedule:
Sunday, south of Appleway, west of Seventh Street
Monday, south of Appleway, east of Seventh
Tuesday, east of U.S. 95, north of Appleway
Wednesday, west of 95, north of Appleway, south of Kathleen
Thursday, west of 95, north of Kathleen and south of Hanley
Friday, west of 95, east of Atlas Road, north of Hanley, south of Prairie

Donations go to families in Kootenai County.
